Access to the machine room will be granted to those who have a legitimate need to physically access equipment in the server room. Faculty approval is required for each graduate student who needs access the machine room. Student access is granted per-academic-year, expires at the end of each spring quarter, and must be re-requested at that time if still needed.
Access control is handled with card swipe locks, using your student/employee id card.
Visitors may accompany authorized users into the machine room. Visitors are the responsibility of the authorized user they accompany. Visitors should not be left unattended in the machine room.
No food or drink in the machine room.
The double doors are for large equipment deliveries only. Do not exit via these doors. Always exit via the CSEHelp hallway door.
