Discussion on problems of current research interest in databases. Possible areas of focus include: core database issues, data management on the web, data integration, new database models and applications, formal methods in databases. Topics to be presented by faculty and students under faculty direction. Topics vary from quarter to quarter. May be repeated for credit.

Consent of instructor.
