Zoom Link Summary for Covid-19 Shutdown

There are a lot of help pages regarding how to use and Zoom and how to protect meetings from Zoombombing and so on.  The information is changing quickly, and Zoom itself is modifying the program's behavior as a wave of heavy use uncovers issues.  Rather than repeat information that is likely to go out of date, here are a few links to pages that we have found helpful:

Safeguarding Meetings

  • Zoom Meeting Safeguards (on Blink)
  • Christine Alvarado's "Best Practices for Avoiding Disruptions on Zoom" — good tips, focused on use for classes.

More From UCSD Zoom Team

  • Zoom User Guide (on Blink) — This is a good, organized overview of Zoom functionality provided by Blink.
  • Zoom FAQ (on Blink) — Here is a list of common problems and questions that might come up for users.

Guides from Zoom

  • Zoom Help Center — Zoom itself provides a great deal of resources, including training and tutorial videos. Definitely a good knowledge base to lean on.
  • "Zoomcrashing" Defense Guide (blog from Zoom)
