Theory postdoc

The UC San Diego Theoretical Computer Science group is looking for strong applicants for post-doctoral positions. The candidates will be reviewed as part of the Data Science Fellowship Program. Research topics include, but are not limited to: algorithm design, computational complexity, cryptography, learning theory, proof complexity and coding theory. The positions are for one academic year, with a start date of October 2019. After the first year, it may be possible to continue the post-doctoral positions for a 2nd year, contingent on approval by the theory faculty and on available funding.

Applicants are expected to hold a PhD or expect to graduate within the coming year, and to have demonstrated strong research abilities. Relevant applicants should provide their personal information, CV, research statement and contact information for three recommendation letter writers (we will contact them directly).
