I am a second-year graduate student pursuing a Master of Science degree in Computer Science at the University of California, San Diego.

Currently, I'm working on natural language processing with Dr. Chun-Nan Hsu in the Department of Biomedical Informatics.

Interests

I am interested in algorithms, artificial intelligence, machine learning and bioinformatics.

Projects

I have worked on several technical projects for academics, community or fun:

  • Implementing dynamic memory management in a distributed operating system for wireless sensor networks, a final-year undergraduate project.
  • Vayam, a community service project making information on 30+ charities based in Mysore accessible on the web.
  • LAN instant messenger, an application to chat over the college-wide network.
  • RPGServ, a role-playing game module for Atheme IRC Services.
  • MASH, an esoteric programming language requiring manipulation of mathematical constructs to implement programming primitives.
  • Elucium IRCd, an internet relay chat daemon implemented entirely in PHP.
  • MoCOM: Mobile Community, a social networking script for mobile web (WAP), implementing real-time chat and discussion forums.

Teaching

I TA'ed for the course CSE 190: Successful Entrepreneurship with Dr. Rakesh Kumar (Spring 2014) and for the course CSE 101: Design and Analysis of Algorithms with Prof. Andrew B. Kahng (Winter 2014) and Prof. Sanjoy Dasgupta (Fall 2013).

I also led a workshop on Web Design and Development for ~150 participants as a final-year undergraduate student.

Miscellaneous

I enjoy playing the keyboard and shooting pool chez Bob.
